preparation for the 10k, & some words of advice

Here’s the tricky part about racing: you can’t do it without practice. Having ended my competitive dancing career almost one year ago, being busy with the start of my university studies, and generally not having any goal to work towards athletically, my shape has gotten out of it. So with just one week to prepare (and still midterms to write!) all I could really do is… run. I’m no personal trainer, but the way I think I can personally prepare best for this race, is to improve a little day by day. I did my first training: 5.6km, about 30% of which I took breaks to walk instead of run. Next up: trying to balance out my speed to be able to run the whole distance of 5.6km. Toronto Fashion Week – wednesday’s details

Compared to Day 1, coming to David Pecaut Square on Wednesday was like a movie (well, almost). I got there a little bit early, and just got attacked by street style photographers. Granted, I did go a little more “full out” this time around, as Day 3 showcased some of the week’s biggest shows: Narces, Pink Tartan, and Mackage. fashion: bringing white jeans into fall

One of the saddest things to do in early October is to bring a box to your closet, and pack away all the summer wear until May. My box has been standing at the foot of my bed for a week now, as I slowly collectively fill it with open-toe shoes, shorts, and sundresses. fashion: the fluffy friend trend

I’m sure you have noticed the balls of fur dangling on practically every wealthy person’s bag lately. This trend was sparked by  Fendi back in fall 2013, and became a huge hit ever since. We see these furry friends hanging on the bags of celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Insta-famous fashionistas like @upcloseandstylish, and just about anybody who’s weekly salary is equivalent to my yearly income.
