#OOTD: Shop My Late-Summer Outfit

I’m excited to start sharing links to some of my favourite pieces and outfits so that you can shop them directly from here and spare yourself the research.

Last week, I went to visit YSL Beauty’s pop-up, the YSL Beauty Hotel. I wore a super simple, casual outfit, which ended up being a HUGE mistake, as the event was a massive backdrop for photo opportunities. Still had some fun with the photobooth and posing with the beauty-inspired backdrops and furniture, but it really could have been my editorial photoshoot moment had I been prepared. Live and learn!

My day-to-day go-to outfit often consists of a white t-shirt, jeans, and comfy shoes. I took comfort to the next level by carrying a tote as well, which I stuffed to the brim with all my essentials (typical woman). Check out the outfit and links to the pieces below, and let me know if this is the kind of posts you’d like to keep seeing.

This Club Monaco t-shirt was part of their “throwback” collection a while ago, and sold out faster than imaginable. Lucky for you, they’ve brought back a few of the pieces, including the shirt in grey and black.

The jeans are a pair of boyfriend jeans from J.Crew that I bought years ago at their Factory store at Toronto Premium Outlets. Sadly, I can’t find this exact pair anywhere online, but I recommend going into a mall to try on various brands if you’re searching for your very first pair of boyfriend jeans. You want to make sure they sit the way you prefer (I like BF jeans to be a little tighter than most), and if it’s your first time in the market for them, it’s definitely better to try them on in person.

Kenzo is one of my favourite brands due to their quirkly, colorful, and fashionable pieces. I even took my husband down with me in the obsession with pops of Kenzo in our closets (lucky me, I get to borrow his sweaters). I’ve had these espadrilles for over a year and a half now, and they are one of my most comfortable pairs of shoes. You can find them here in the same colour as mine, or in burgundy which I think would be super beautiful too (and won’t blend in with the jeans you’re wearing). You can also get the look for less by getting these Toms espadrilles instead!

I’m a believer in investing in great designer pieces, and this tote bag is definitely a purchase I don’t regret. I was debating for a while between getting it in black, beige, burgundy, or grey. Once I saw the beige in person at the store, it was right away a write-off, and the location I visited that day didn’t have the grey in stock. I had to choose between the black and the Bordeaux colour, but it was an easy choice because the black was so boring in comparison. You can buy the same colour as me here, or look into getting a more monochrome colour like black instead.

There you have it, one of my favourite outfit formulas: printed T, jeans, espadrilles, and the biggest bag I own.
