Travel Diary: 24 Hours in Ottawa

If you know anything about me, you know I’m a wanderluster, and it’s not long after getting home from a trip that the travel bug hits me again. Unfortunately, due to the restrictions of time (ah, student life), distance, and money, it was challenging to plan a getaway.

As a traveller, I think my life goal that applies to absolutely every single trip is packing just enough. Not overpacking and having my suitcase overflow, nor arriving there realizing I left half my life back home. Let’s Stop Body-Shaming, and Start Health-Promoting

I have honestly had it. Working in retail, my store only goes up to a US Size 10 for the ladies, and every now and then a size 12 or 14 lady will give me a dirty look when I have to break the news to her. Normally these interactions don’t really affect me much, but most recently, I actually felt BAD for being a healthy and fit size 4 while talking to her. Hoarding might as well be my full-time job, because I am just so damn good at it. Clothes, boxes, paper shopping bags (you know, the pretty ones), journals, old paperwork, children’s jewellery… I admit it, I have too much stuff that I don’t even use, and in most cases, I don’t even know it exists anymore.
