#FashionCAN – What’s That?

If you’re a regular frequenter of Yorkdale Mall, I’m sure you’re aware of the massive expansion they did of 18+ stores, including the newest Nordstrom in Toronto. Earlier this week, right before the grand unveiling of the new wing, Yorkdale and CAFA¬†got together to bring the Canadian fashion industry an opportunity to see the SS17 Collections of the country’s top designers. A runway built literally in the middle of the hall of the new section, Yorkdale hosted an intimate setting for the invite-only runway shows of Canada’s fashion leaders, new and veteran. Pre-TFW: a look into the Toronto fashion scene

Up until I started my blog and started getting slightly more involved with the fashion industry, I didn’t know much about Canadian designers other than Pink Tartan, Mackage, and Rudsak.

With Toronto Fashion Week just a couple¬†days away, it’s safe to say I am definitely more up to date. And quite frankly, if I plan to keep writing about fashion on The Lifestyle Bistro, it would be embarrassing not to know the designers who work a mere 20-minute drive away (I’m a suburban girl). fashion: bringing white jeans into fall

One of the saddest things to do in early October is to bring a box to your closet, and pack away all the summer wear until May. My box has been standing at the foot of my bed for a week now, as I slowly collectively fill it with open-toe shoes, shorts, and sundresses.
