Things I Bought And Liked on Amazon – 1.0

Long time no see my wonderful subscribers and readers! You may have noticed that 2018 was a quiet year over here, even though it was a short time since my blog name rebrand. I’ve been thinking a lot about the direction of my blog, as well as what I actually want to post and write about versus what people may be interested in reading. It’s also a strange time for blogs, as many people find they connect with video content more, or prefer to scroll through social media’s photo “bloggers” instead.

That being said, a part of my heart does belong on this little slice of the internet, and I’m not quite ready to hang up the skates just yet.

Ever since moving out on my own (& husband), I became obsessed with Amazon Prime. So much so, that I’ll order some of the most basic things on Prime (like dishwasher detergent) just so I can skip a trip to the store and have it delivered to my condo building.

I’d like to share the joy, and speak to some of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon (mostly Prime) so far!

Kate Spade Lemon Recipe Box: I JUST received this, and I’m so happy I snatched it as soon as it became available again. I was actually eyeing it for a while, but it sold out on Amazon, and I couldn’t find it anywhere else online or in-store. It finally reappeared, and without hesitation, I ordered it. I prefer a box for recipes vs. a book, because I find it’s easier to organize and fill over time. I’ll be able to purchase extra cards for it over time, and I love how the lemon design matches my current lemon tablemats in the condo.

Oflamn 20″ Gym BagThis is also a really recent purchase, as I have just joined a new gym. After going a few times, I realized I really need a gym bag, as I was coming out so drenched in sweat, that even the 10-minute walk home wasn’t short enough and I wanted to shower at the gym. I love that this bag comes with a matching toiletry bag, which helps keep the necessities separate. The only thing I bought in addition to the bag is a shoe bag (not from Amazon) for my sneakers.

Smartphone Tripod: Alright, I’m shameless over here. I bought an iPhone tripod. That being said, the only thing iPhone compatible about it is an add-on, and it actually works as a great camera mini tripod. It fits into my totebag, and I’m able to capture a lot of footage around my home and on the go – footage I have yet to edit into real videos oops.

Dixit: This is a really fun board game that I actually ordered to give to friends as a Christmas present. Luckily, these friends live in our building, and majority of the time my husband and I are the ones they call to play games together. Yep, we’re basically 75 years old. It’s a little tough to explain, but the game is basically reverse charades with photo cards. Not confusing at all.

Braun Silk-Epil Epilator: Gents, I’m sorry you had to see this. I won’t go into too much detail, as the ladies who would be interested in an epilator know exactly what one does already, but this set is worth every penny and gets the job done.

Taotronics Humidifier: Though a bit on the pricier side for a humidifier, this one actually looks cute in our condo, and the best part – has timer and humidity level settings. Not much else I can say about it, except that I like it!

Tidy Cats Cat Litter Box (Purina Breeze)To all the cat parents out there – this is the holy grail of litter box and litter. Instead of sand, the litter is made up of dehydrating pellets, and the box has a tray at the bottom for pee pads. Smell is minimal, dust is non-existent, and maintenance is easy. Just bear in mind that you’ll need to purchase pee pads and bags of pellets to replace them over time – pee pads to be replaced every week, pellets every month to month and a half.

So there you have it – my very first “what I bought and liked on Amazon”! Let me know if this is a series you’d be interested in keeping up with in the comments below.
